I'm contemplating a new toy, I am more into the older cars but, do appreciate the technological advances of more modern machinery. I can't get behind anything out there today as nothing really appeals to me. The F355 however, is in my opinion, the greatest Ferrari of modern times and absolutely gorgeous. That being said, I need some direction. I'm aware of some issues, etc... What is the best resource to become more familiarized with these machines. Specifically, I am only interested in a black on black, manual spider. Is there a registry where I can try tracking down potential candidates??? Does anyone know of any for sale??? Many thanks, as I'm sure you guys must be tired of people like me dropping by and asking the same questions over and over again.

I can honestly say you are at the best resource in the world, Fchat.

I would suggest starting by browsing the classified section of Fchat. Read sellers descriptions and take note of those who list specific problems related to the 355 that have been properly address on the car. Search this forum for information on those specific problems to get more familiar. The 355 has many issues from the factory but many can and have been properly corrected so it many not be as difficult as it sounds to find a well sorted car. Finding that well sorted 355 in nero/nero spyder manual at a price you are willing to pay may take some time though.

A Mangusta - the real one (not the Qvale copy) - is a very cool machine and getting pretty valuable as a collector car, but it is not a driving car. Talk about instability at speed! I'd rather drive a Porsche!

A 348 is a great older exotic that can give you the exotic sports car experience for not much cash. Welcome and I hope you find your machine. Not to mention, this group is about the finest support group for a single make and model ever.
