    Good Morning!

I just wanted to formally say "hello" to the folks here at F-Chat. I've always been an avid reader, specifically to the 348/355 section with my occasional visit to the 360 and Georgia sections.

You're probably wondering, "why triggered him to finally post an introduction thread?". Well - over the weekend, I finally picked up my new (to me) car!

    -1996 F355 Spider
-Rosso Corsa/Crema color combo (Red/Tan) - Not sure what the correct terminology is (haven't had the chance to read through the folder full of documentation yet) for color

I'm an avid car enthusiast - but this is my first dip into the Italian scene. My background is Japanese Imports, as the stablemate for this car is a Supra (I'm an active moderator currently at Supraforums). I sold my latest Viper GTS in order to pick up this car.

Based out of Atlanta, GA (Kennesaw area for the locals) and looking forward to meet a few enthusiast. I was going to do a quick post in the Georgia section as well.

Anyway, enough talking - here's a quick pic of when I picked it up. I will be cleaning her up and taking some MUCH better pics. Cheers!

    Thanks!

I sure did - you're probably thinking about the same car. I can clearly say this was a "diamond in the rough". The owner just didn't seem motivated to keep her anymore!

    Congrats!
Wise choice over the Viper. I never owned a Viper but drove it a few times.
    355>Viper no doubt.
Watch out for Cobb county police as I am sure you know.

I've had several Vipers - it's definitely an acquired taste. This car feels like a Camry (speed wise) compared to the Viper - but I already get my "speed thrills" from the Supra.

I have a few friends on the force @ Cobb County. They are very familiar with their "notoriety"! Not a fan!

Congrats Allen!!! You're going to love every minute of the 355.

next on my list = update calipers to yellow. Those look fantastic! I've also been thinking about a de-badge on my car. Looks clean without the badge, but I can't decide if I want to remove mine or not...

It's funny - I wasn't sold if I liked it with or without the badge - but it's grown on me.

I have a set that he gave me - I was interested if it would match the yellow calipers nicely.

Very nice. I have a similar ride up in SC. Same color and interior. I am somewhat divided about fender badges. My car has them, but sometimes they seem a little too much. Your car looks great without them.

Now, I really like the black challenge grill on my car. It seems to fit, and breaks up all the red.

    Enjoy!

I am in the market for a Challenge Grill - haven't had the chance to locate one.

I think I will keep the badges off.
