i love it .
Hey, not bad, not bad at all. It's tastfully done, and very well crafted. I also like what they did with the powder coating on the engine, I did sort of the same thing to mine. I makes the engine look MUCH nicer. What better way to show off what you've done to your engine than to put a glass lid on it. Thumbs up from me.
I think the whole car looks kind of odd. The wheels are pushed out to the fender lips, the tires look like they are at least 60 series...weird. I am in the louver camp. Jimmy

Perhaps a bit off topic, sorry, but looking at these pics I love the red paint on the engine. Obviously, those parts are supposed to be black. My car has the paint looking warn on the engine and chipping on the airboxes. What is the general feeling in the used car market (if i were to sell) about having a paint modification like this done? Thanks
Thanks for that Ernie. My 355 spider should be done with that conversion next month I already have the 360 spider engine lid that i picked up this week.I am also finding a spare 355 engine lid, so that i can swap back when ever. Should look good on a dark red spider i think. Thanks again. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Challenge rims and that wide tyres ruined everything. Except all these the shape is good looking but i think no need to force the limits. Its like 355 is getting esthetics surgery to be look like as Modena Its good looking but no need to force the limits !!!
good job on whoever did the install. but i'd say the owner has to get better rims and tires. those BBS CH's look like ass on the 355
If you like it, paint it. Like I said, I painted alot of things on my engine red. Actually I got them powder coated. If you are worried about resale then leave it stock. If you are buying the car for YOU, then who cares what the next guys thinks. I say do it.
Anyone know if you could use a spare engine lid as a "plug" and then mould an engine cover thats in polycarbonate or some 100% transparant plastic. You would then build a frame to support it and paint as much of the lid as you want. Sort of an F40 look!! So, can you mold a see thro cover to keep the sexy slots and scoop of the 355 engine cover?
