OMG.. enough with the sound already..

I find it crazy that so many people on this board have only 1 criteria for the 488,... sound. many of the people commenting don't own or will never own a Ferrari yet they base their entire assessment of this new car on the sound.

I drive a 458, my wife drives an FF and before the 458 I had a 430 with the valves permanently open. I also have a Speciale on order.

My 430 Sounded WAY better than my 458 ever will but the 458 is WAY better in every way, shape and form.. hands down, no one could ever suggest the 430 is a better car than the 458.

The FF sounds so much better than all of them. IF you happen to be standing outside the car when it starts or driving through a tunnel with the windows open.

Maybe for the people that don't actually drive Ferraris the sound is important to hear on YouTube vids but trust me.. when you're driving one.. the sound is really important but not so much that you would trade in your 458 for a 430 or 360 because is 'sounds' better.

    It's getting old ppl.

Get me the low down on the 488 GTS. Any "official" Intel much appreciated.

I agree sound is not the end all in making a decision to trade up to the 488, but when you consider the facelift is at best a wash and increased performance can only be realized on a track then smaller issues like the sound become more important.

I recently sold my 458 Spider because the roads are so bad in my area I was constantly searching out pot holes rather enjoying the ride. If I spent all of my time in FL that would not be the case. When time comes to replace the 458 sound will be an important issue, but not the only one.

Sound is certainly not the only thing but I will say...., I go out of my way while driving slow to keep the sound at a certain tone. The gear I choose is usually any gear that sounds the best.

Massive LOL!!!! (I actually traded my Tesla Model S for a 458 and 116d....obviously prefer the 458 but the Tesla is missed, impressive car for such a young company)

    I second this.

Also, tell us about the comfort of the seats and ride quality compared to the 458.
