I just purchased my first Ferrari, a 2001 F1 360 Modena. am looking for some advice on the best places to drive the car in the Phoenix area. I would like to find places where I can go fast and others where I can enjoy the handling.

Take US60 East to Idaho, get off take a left and follow it up to Canyon Lake. It's a really fun road.

Take Loop 202 until it ends, then you can take the road to Saguaro Lake around Usery Mountain. Or, drive to Tonto Natural Bridge.

One of the best roads I've ever been on is highway 89 between Prescott and Jerome. I took some video about a year ago. This is some footage of a portion of the road.

    Scott -

Also join the Scottsdale Exotic Car Club and the Ferrari Club of America. Both do some nice drives and schedule track days. The SECC track days I've attended have been outstanding and the people are great. The track is really the place to see what both you and your Ferrari are capable of.

I believe NASA has an open track day at PIR the first weekend in May. No speed limits, no tickets...

Take it easy though, very curvy!
Eat lunch at Tortilla Flats. Cool place. Lots of history up there. If you'd like a ride along, I'd be happy :D I'll buy lunch.

    and

+1 for eating lunch at Torilla Flats. It's a must.

Be careful if you go down 202 to 101. They've got speed cameras up.

Yes, there is an event out at PIR on May 5th & 6th. This is probably the last weekend of the cooler weather. Always a great turnout.

Check out the Club Racing Arizona website for more details.

I can attest to that. From MD and was in a rental SUV and hit that rode and was regretting not having my BMW. Great rode - when/if AZ hosts the Ferrari Annual meet - 09 possibly - that should be a side trip.
Loved the footage - brought back good memories.
