Good to hear Port of Call is open. I'm staying at the Hilton Riverside for the next month or so and the food is limited to say the least.

I went to Port of Call the other day, it was PACKED!!! And just as delicious as when I went 2 months ago.

Also, Restaurant August opened 2 night ago for lunch and dinner. I had the BEST po-boy in years. It was called the "Rich Boy" po-boy. Came with grilled tomatos, homemade ranch dressing, and fried Blue Crab.

    Talk about a treat!
We even saw the presidential motorcade turn right in front of our window going to the windsor court while eating. Very surreal.

Anyways, businesses and restaurants are coming back quicker than I imagined. BUT, essential services are still lacking.

I was getting off at the Claiborne exit today and my cousin and I saw a downed motorcylce and rider just laying on the exit ramp. A couple people stopped in front of us and had just called 911. The poor man had to ditch(not sure why) and slid right into the side of the ramp, SEVERELY mangling his hand and most likely screwing up his back. As my cousin and I went up to him to check injuries the others simply DROVE OFF!!! So we were left helping this guy stay calm and not move. He even had me call his wife to tell her what had happened. Not sure how this guy didn't pass out.

Anyway, it took about 20-25 minutes for the ambulance to arrive. By ems standards that is a long ass time, especially since we were practically downtown. EMS eventually showed up, wife 5 minutes later, and they hauled him off to the temporary military hospital inside the convention center!!!

I am sure the guy will be alright(relatively), but it was scary. Had he severed his arm he would have surely bled to death. So I ain't moving back to N.O. until January because there are too many things we take for granted that just may not be up to par yet. Hope all of you are safe!!!
