Finally arrived at my hangar yesterday. What an adventure, my first Ferrari, a 02 360 Spider 6 speed. First I want to thank Ferrarichat for making this successful, it had a lot to do with it. I had been searching for a 360 for about 6 months, wanted red with tan or black interior, a spider, under 20K mileage and a 6 speed. Didn't really care about anything else. Originally I had found one at Wide World Ferrari/Maserati in New York. I had a fellow Fchatter, who I only knew thru the boards go and check it out for me. It was really amazing how people on the board help each other out. Being deployed, I was unable to do it for myself. He returned pictures and we chatted via the internet. I put a deposit down on the car, but ended up Wide World wouldn't get to the price I needed. Totally by chance I ran across this car in Tulsa, OK. It was at a small indy dealership. I was able to get a PPI done by Nader (+100000) at Autohaus International, again at the with the help of an Fchat recommendation. He went over the car with a fine tooth comb and gave me a no BS assessment of the car. The biggest downfall was no maintenance history. So I negotiated that into the price of the deal and ended up having Autohaus do a complete major, tune up, fluids, everything, include 4 new tires (due to age). Everything that needed done to the car was done. Then off it went to shipment to my place in PA. AGAIN using the recommendation of Fchat, I found a car hauler at a very reasonable price. I chose Reliable, and had an excellent experience. The drive that delivered the car to me was one of the nicest and professional persons my Father (he is the one that received the car for me) ever delt with. I have many pictures and videos of the process, but I was amazed from what I saw at the care and precision that was displayed in handling the car. So now I can't wait to drive it. I come home for R and R in a week and I'm so excited. BTW here is what I finally ended up with. 02 360 red on tan Spider 6 speed, 14K, front and rear challenge grills, side fender shields, painted calipers, and 3 piece rims. So a big thank you to everyone here on Fchat that helped out! It is truly appreciated! That's a great story and thanks for your service to our country. Stay safe and when you come home you will enjoy that car (assuming PA weather cooperates). Alan
I know the feeling my friend, just put mine in the garage 2 weeks ago. I have now bank twice the hours staring at it as I have driving it
Congrats!! It's nice to see a fellow serviceman fulfill a dream. I put an F430 in my garage on Valentine's Day. I can't get enough of staring at it and driving it when I can. Stay safe and thanks for your service. USAF 1981-2002
Hi Sean, So glad you found the right one. I knew you would. Congrats and drive it in good health. If you're in the area during your R&R let me know. Best, Tom
