Being made in Germany that would be more of a messofschit than a B-17!!!! When are you putting on the Scuderia shields?
He's definitely serious about this car now. He just ordered carpets for it!!! Yes we do more than Ferrari carpets!
Go find another one owner 20 yr old fully documented 928!!! I drove it home last night and back to work today. Drives great! Do I need to pay for the carpets?
Have you noticed that Chris has been quiet for a few days? He must be driving his new car with the German Scuderia shields!!!
I am excited that you noticed my absence! No, I haven't been driving it. Actually it is still not staying at my house. Nowhere to put it, I have it stored at a friends in Valencia. When's Dinner?
He must be driving his new car with the German Scuderia shields!!![/QUOTE] Now we have to Watch out for a good key for Chris.
Don't pay attention to Mr. Calo, he is spending too much time in the 348/355 section, wandering away from the 360 section.......
Are you still considering a 360??? I have decided to keep the 355 and just do horsepower upgrades . That is my current plan though it may be subject to change in the future
I am still looking, but the prices are still coming down. I might wait for 6 months for the prices to level off. I don't want to buy one and lose 20k in the first yr or two that I own it. PS: this is subject to change audi R8? GT3? I lost my mind long ago Just ask Mr. Calo
I just bought a Porsche to play around with too. The parts are really cheap and it keeps me from changing out the really expensive parts on my 355. Mine is an 88 944S. So far this week, I've replaced the suspension with the KONI adjustables and stronger springs, all all kinds of other little things. This one will be for the racetrack. Sweet! I wish I could fit a lift in my garage If I could, I would be in trouble` I would need 2 more cars
Mark, I've had the thought that I might do something very similar in a year or two to have a car for light track use/autocross that I won't be too heatbroken about if I crumple it. What would I want to have in mind for a maintenance/hop up parts budget for such a project?
If you are looking to do this with a 944 you are probably going to be in the 5-8K range for the car. Assuming you get an S, which would be a minimum. Then add another 3-5K for parts depending on how much you want to put into it. You could step it up to the next notch and get a 944 Turbo or Turbo S for 10-15K. These cars are very easy and fun to work on since they are front engine. I haven't had any problems at all getting to any parts on the car. There are also lots of aftermarket suppliers for every little thing you would want. Even though I plan to race this one, I still went ahead and replaced the carpet and seat vinyl because I wasn't ready to strip it out and make it only a track car. The seat vinyl and complete carpet was less than 600 bucks, and now the interior looks brand new and the exterior was already close to perfect. It's a really fun car to drive now that the suspension is so tight. Although I think my neighbors are going to rebel if I do another high speed lap around my neighborhood.
No, he's the guy you have to "watch"!!! Somebody give Chris a lift, please!!! He can't afford a 360 now, because he's buying too many other cars! When I buy his 348 and change the T/L's to the nice round ones, he will buy a 360.
