Just out of curiousity, how much did you pay for something like that?

To be frank I am not comfortable giving out price details. It really is not important. They were not cheap obviously. Its rare enough to see the rim on its own, but a rim, tyre and nut together and then another rim thrown in for good measure is very, very rare.

Congrats on the purchase. I think it was a good deal. The tire alone, brand new when Ferrari bought it, was worth more than the entire set you bought imo.

A simple search on Google will give you an answer.

I have always wanted something like that to mount on the wall, and somehow have a light mounted inside the wheel to illuminate outward to get awesome lighting effect! Give it a try, take some pics and let me see what it would look like.

Forgot to mention big thanks to Morry at Collector Car Studio, who spent some time with me on the phone talking about this piece when there was nothing in it for him.

I saw that auction as well, nice job! These are very cool items to have for display as I acquired (via ebay) an F1 right-front anodized gold BBS wheel mounted with a Goodyear rain tire (circa 1996 from Ferrari, but no driver noted, could have been Schumy, Irvine..or a tester) and an F1 BBS front wheel (silver color) mounted on a grooved Bridgestone tire, from the old Arrows test team circa 2000

Both came from the UK and I can tell you the shipping to New York was quite high, but worth it.

these make great tables...sorry, no pics unfortunately.
