Looking at 348 but Carfax & Autocheck doesnt match?

Im looking at the 91 348 at FCI in NC.

Carfax shows the car is clean, but Autocheck shows a salvage title in 96.

Anyone ever come across this?

Does previous owner use Fchat, help verify?

 

When looking for my car, I found that Autocheck sometimes showed more detail than Carfax. So I prefer Autocheck. I'd certainly ask the owner about the discrepancy, and carefully check all documentation on the car. I'd have to assume Autocheck is correct, unless proven otherwise. Even then, you'll still have this hanging over the car, unless you can get Autocheck to correct it.
