I AM UP IN NY AND LOOKING AT A 2004 CHALLENGE STRADALE. IT IS RED WITH THE STRIPES AND DEEP RED SPORT SEATS WITH THE REST OF THE INTERIOR IN BLACK. IT HAS 9K MILES AND I MIGHT BE ABLE TO GET IT IN THE HIGH 170'S. WHAT DO YOU THINK GOOD DEAL OR NOT?

Excellent deal. One sold recently locally around $185,000. When the F430 came out, and became "unavailable", prices for the F360 went up. Now that the new Scuderia will be "unavailable", logically, the Stradale will go up in value, worst case, remain price level.

    Buy it, enjoy it.

Price sounds fair but I would check the following before getting out the checkbook. Is it still under warranty? Was the stripe factory applied or aftermarket? Was the 5K service completed along with belts? Have you run a carfax and completed a PPI by a professional Ferrari tech?

There's no way to answer that without a lot more information, it could be a good deal and it could be a nightmare... Pictures can lie, dealers/sellers can lie - You want to make sure the car hasn't been abused, wrecked, etc., and you'll want to check the service records. Do yourself a huge favor - Buy a plane ticket and fly down to see the car in person. Then if it passes your inspection, get a thorough PPI done by a qualified 3rd party shop of YOUR choosing.

Perhaps if you give out a little more information someone here may know the car in question.

Hi Marcy, it sounds like a GREAT deal for that car. Just make sure you get a PPI so you know what you're getting. If all checks out, go for it!! The CS is a very special car.

My advise would be to look at buying a car like that from a Ferrari dealer.

    1. you know they looked over the car, probably know the car since day 1.
    2. you are not getting that great of a deal at high $170Ks. It is less than what you would expect to pay for this car at say Shelton but if you spend $179K or $189K that is only 5% more and quite frankly I would rather buy that at a reputable Ferrari dealer than some shop (of course unless it is mine...:D).

THANKS FOR THE THOUGHTS. I HAVE SEEN THE CAR IT IS A FERRARI OF LONG ISLAND. ONE THING STOPPING ME IS IF I TRACK THE CAR NOW AND THEN I AM NOT COMFORTABLE WITH MY HELMUT ON. ALSO I HAVE ALWAYS HAD CONVERTIBLES. I AM STILL THINKING ABOUT IT. WILL KEEP YOU POSTED.

If you are looking for a track car you should get a pure track car. Forget being comfortable with a helmet on. Put that car into the kitty litter and your are staring down new rotors at a nice five figure Dollar amount.

Buy a true Challenge car with Challenge suspension and save $90,000 in your purchase.

Not sure if I understand your comment right but it looks like you never tracked before or if very limited. If that is the case you are going the wrong way. You don't jump into an F16 to learn how to fly.

I HAVE BEEN ON THE TRACK QUITE A BIT WOTH MY STREET CARS. BUT IF I DO THE TRACK 6-7 TIMES A YEAR WITH A CAR I NEEDE TO BE COMFORTABLE. I WAS ALOS THINKING ABOUT A CAR STRICTLY FOR THE TRACK. I THGINK IT MAKES MORE SENSE.

You can have a full out 360 Challenge that granted has a little less HP, but weighs less as well and does not have carbon brakes (but then if you go off track you don't have to spend tens of thousands of Dollars replacing rotors) for $92,000 our least expensive to $105,000 our most expensive. I may be able to make you a great deal on a car we have on consignment. The owner is getting real serious about it and it does have the GT package already. It needs potentially new paint and you have to do a PPI for sure since I have not seen the car since we sold it two years ago. Then it was an excellent car.

Stradale is an excellent car but it is a "stradale" and made for "la strada" not for "la pista"!
