    Those of you who own.

Does it worry or irritate you when someone gets close to your car to take a little closer look.

The reason i ask is because the few times i have had the chance to get close to an Fcar, its always worried me that an irritated owner would show up wondering why I was so close.

Never worry me a bit as long as there is no leaning or touching the car.
I on the other hand enjoy people admiring my car as long as they respect it because I used to admire most F cars I saw when I was younger!

One of my former employer's clients had a black Testarossa that he parked outside of his office... i was out there smoking a cigarette and checking out his car when he came out and rather abruptly yelled "Don't get any ashes on my car...!" He was a nice guy though... Other than that, no one's ever said anything to me about getting a closer look...

I made it at work, after having to take over the field crew. Got good results!!!

It's really a stage prop.....red paint and a snip of my own unruly locks....

I'm waiting for the cops to discover it, during a front plate stop......

You know that does get old. I think I will use the age old classic, "If you have to ask you can't afford it".

But as for the looking, that doesn't bug me. The touching does though. Also it depends on the kind of looking. Like if they look in the car, and then look around, look in the car again, then look to see if anyone is watching them. THAT is the kind of looking I don't welcome, and will confront.

I had one of my kids come and tell me that there was a guy in my GARAGE once looking at the Ferrari. I opened the door, mad dogged the guy, and in a challenging voice asked, "can I help you with something?". He then said he was just looking at the car. Walking towards him I said, "I can see that but you don't just walking into somebodies garage. If you wanna look do it from outside". Then I shut the garage door after he when out.

Well, it's not a Ferrari story, but I've got one.

When my parents were planning our trip to Italy last summer, they asked me go pick something up at the travel agent's office. I took my dads Porsche (2000 996 cab, 18" sport classics, and it was clean) to school that day, so that's what I took to go get the stuff. When I got there, I parked next to a blue E46 M3, and since my car is an M3, I went to check this one out before I went it. Now-- I'm looking at it, and all of a sudden, I hear the doors lock! I look in the window of the travel agency, and on the agents in pointing her key at the car. I walked in to hear "do you realize, that kids parents are planning one of the biggest trips we've done!" from our agent, talking to her partner.

I don't get it. She sees me getting out of the Porsche, dressed in khakis and a polo (school dress code)... hmmm

Just say, "not as much as it looks" or "i don't remember exactly, but it was worth it" or just something vague... And if the person persists, just say something else; they'll eventually get the hint...

Th only time I have been upset is when a soccer mom let her kids hang on the door of the car to see inside. The lazy b$%^&* didn't even get off the bench to tell them to get away. If you want to satisfy your 4 year olds curiosity pick them up to let them see. Otherwise I don't mind people getting a 'closer look'.

About a year and a half ago I drove to a National Auto Italia concours show in the GT4 which was about a 200 mile drive and as soon as I parked it amongst other Ferraris and got out of the car this guy says "Nice car.How much did you pay for it?"I replied with the quick response"Its not mine.I'm just the Valet."

I almost gave an old lady a heart attack after she asked that question (about my Viper) and i answered her.... lol

The look on her face... Priceless...

Thought it was pretty cool that she was admiring it though....
Got the same reactions with the F_cars as well...
Doesn't bother me to much as long as i'm near-by.. ;)
