Assetto Corsa is a new simulation racing game by Kunos Simulazione and while they have some Ferrari licenses, the 288 GTO is unfortunately missing from their roster. Luckily the game supports modding and I'm currently recreating the car in 3D for use in the game.

The game is all simulation all the way, and in order to recreate this car as true to life as possible, I'm in need of as much technical data as I can find. Things like the spring rates, dampers, what turbos does it have, at which RPM do they start kicking in and what kind of wastegate numbers are we looking at? Steering ratio, braking torque, coast braking torque, Aerodynamic drag coefficient, wing forces, you name it, the game will simulate it so long as I can put the right data in.

For suspensions, accurate photos or diagrams (with proper scaling, not just a schematic view) also provide lots of information so the wishbone arm lengths and spring length can be estimated by recreating the image in CAD and measuring from there.

I've so far been able to track down basic and commonly available information like the weight and gear ratios, but my google-fu is unfortunately rather weak.

And finally in case I strike gold and someone actually has access to a 288 GTO who is willing to go a bunch of extra miles: Sound recordings of a 288 GTO are quite rare and none of the ones I've found are usable for a game. The racing game modding world would be done a giant favour if someone could provide sound samples of a GTO held at various (say each 500RPM) fixed RPM under load for a while.

So, any data you may have or know where to find would be much appreciated. Please reply here or contact me via e-mail if you prefer (GTOfire at gmail) if you'd like to lend your assistance.
