If you live in SoCal this is for you.

For many years I've wanted to recreate the Car and Driver Ferrari 2+2 vs Pontiac 2+2 comparison test from the March 1965 issue.

On Sunday, at the Huntington Beach Concours d'Elegance, there will be a 1965 Pontiac 2+2 on display, the same car that won it's class at Greystone Mansion Concours d'Elegance. I spoke to the owner at Greystone and he's love to see me pull this off. He will be in Huntington Beach Saturday afternoon so there's two windows of opportunity to shoot, late Saturday afternoon before sundown and after the show on Sunday before he heads home to Sacramento.

So if you live in Southern California, own a 330 GT 2+2 and are free Saturday or Sunday and would like to participate please contact me by sending me a private message here with your phone number and I will call back as soon as I can.

I've never seen or read that. Who won the first time around?

I provided a link in the original post to a PDF of the story. The overall result will probably surprise you.

As a kid growing up in New Jersey, I got the chance to meet Walt Hansgen. He was killed testing the Ford GT Mk II at Le Mans in 1966.
