I know this has probably been posted a millions times, but I'm looking for a 355 fiorano, anyone know of some nice ones out there? I saw the yellow one at cauley, but the asking prices seems really high. Does anyone know anything about that peticular car? Celebrity owned worries me aslo, if its even true. I would really appreciate it if anyone knows of any others out there. Of course the best would be red/tan, but probably impossible to find.

If you have the time you will find one. It took me 6 months of HARD looking to find a clean 99 355spi red/tan. Fiorano is going to be harder, and you will pay $5000 premium for it. If you are not particular about the color it will be much easier. I found a lot of cars come up for sale @ end of the season. There were 4 Fioranos last December. 3 red, yellow and blue. The best deal was Prestige in Florida 2800 mi, but no history. He was letting it go for 117000 then. I did not get it because of their reputation on this board. I do not need problems. If the one in Long Island is still avail - stay away from it, its a mess.
Always remember - its fun to look for a toy like this!
Enjoy the search, don't get frustrated.
Just like women if its meant to be the right one will come along.
In the mean time if you just must drive one - rent it for a weekend or two.
    Good luck.

Thanks for the help and the heads up on the Ferrari LI car. Has anyone looked at the yellow/black fiorano at cauley? I'm not even sure if they still have it, but if they do its been for sale for a while so if anyone knows the car that would really help. I think the 355 looks pretty nice in yellow, and the car has 4400 miles which isn't to bad. Anything people could tell me about it would help.

IFIRC, 100 Fiorano cars were produced, almost all of them with F1 transmissions. They were most noted for their "racier" suspension.
It will naturally be more than the standard 355. Why? Upgraded suspension, and the fact only 100 or so were made. Celebrety owned can improve value or lower the value on the car. I certanley wouldnt want a car that was owned by Michael Jackson. Most likley that car was owned by a hockey player.

If you don't mind me asking, why do you want the Fiorano package?

The 355 spider is my favorite ferrari and I want something special. This car is for my beach house in california and you see 355s quite often there so I just want something a unique. I also like the stance of the fiorano and its carbon fiber interior bits. Do you know anything about the yellow car at cauley?

Ah, I see, in that case the Fiorano isnt a bad route to take.
Unfortunetley, I don't know much more about that car.
I will be in there next week, I can take a look at the car if you like, perhaps take a fiew pictures?

There is hope for you though- a fellow F-Chatter works at Cauley Ferrari. His name here is "kizdan" and I'm sure he would be able to answear any questions you might have.
    Good luck finding your car.

P.S. What part of Michigan are you in?

I live in Arizona, but the only fiorano I saw for sale was the one at Cauley. Do you have a contact for kizdan? If you could take a quick look at it and give me your opionion I would really appreciate it. Pictures would be awesome to if you have the time, but let me know what you think of general condition of the car if your not to busy. I see they are asking 145k, which seems extremely high because I know that about 6 months ago F of San Fran sold the same color combo fiorano for 125k and that car had only 2500 miles. I also have seen this yellow car for sale for a long time so maybe they just haven't updated the add. Please let me know what you think if you get a chance.

If you want a good article on the Fiorano Spider, take a look at Issue 23 of Forza. They did an article on the car, not really a buyer's guide but more a summary. It was a pretty good article but I would say a lot more potatoes (filler) than meat. Just check with friends to see if they have the issue or maybe I could somehow help you. You can see a difference in the stance of the car and wow, it looks great. My favorite would be the Fiorano with a manual transmission but from the article, all were produced with the F1 transmission save one or two.

Keep us informed about what you are doing and hopefully soon you will be posting pics of your new car.

Thanks for the help. I'm not that familiar with pic size, so just use the biggest size you think is ok. Could you get some pics of the areas where 355s would show the most wear. I don't want to be a pain, but could you get a few of the interior and the seats, and also the front bumper and some of the over all car. Let me know what you think of its condition. Thanks a ton for the help. Let me know if you think its worth flying to look at. How do owners like cauley? Are they the kind of dealership that will want more money because some hockey player owned it?

P.S. We just purchased a 97 yellow/black 355 Spider. We're putting on a challenge grill, shields, calipers. I'm going to talk with the dealer about lowering the car, if possible.

Thanks for the pics Mike. How many miles did she have when you sold her? How would you compare the fiorano to the regular car, can you tell a difference in performance? How did you like your fiorano compared to your 360? Was it more fun than your GT2?

Great questions. I had 5200 miles on the car when I traded it. I have not had a chance to drive the 97 Spider yet. It's in for major service, challenge grill installation, shields, etc. I did drive an F355 Spider right before I purchased the Fiorano and I think there is a difference in the way the car feels, however slight. The car is lower and it has the challenge suspension and, as I recall, a little tighter steering set up.

The Fiorano was a BLAST to drive. The GT2 was fun to drive when it drove. (Unfortunately, Porsche bought the car back because of numerous problems with the car). When it drove, it was so fast and much different than my 996 Turbo which is easier to handle because of the PSM and all wheel drive.

The GT2 was a different kind of fun than the Fiorano and 360 for that matter. Hard to compare. For me, the Ferrari was more fun. You can drive it slow and still enjoy just hearing the sound of the engine. And unless you are a very capable driver, it's quite difficult to drive the GT2 anywhere close to the limit. The GT2 is a hand full to drive fast because it is so very fast. If you read the reviews on the car, it's pretty close to a race car as you can get. BTW, the GT2 market has fallen in the $h*t hole and you can buy one for $120K on up.

The 360 is perceptibly faster than the 355; and yet I felt I could push the 355 to the limit easier than my 360. Both are loads of fun to drive. I think the 355 sounded a little better (I did not have a Tubi) than the 360 (which also does not yet have a Tubi). I also think the 355 is slightly more attractive than the 355, particularly when you see the cars side by side.

    Good luck! Regards, Mike :)

Mike thanks a ton for the answers. What does everyone think a fair price for that car at cauley is? I've seen prices on fioranos from 111k to 151k in the last 6 months. As I said earlier I saw a identical car to the one at cauley with 2500 miles on it go for 125k about 6 months ago I cant see this car going for anymore than that. Anyway, sorry to babble on, what do you think is the most I should pay for that car?

$125K. Not a penny more! If this is consignment car the dealer may not have a say in the matter.

I've noticed that Cauley asks a lot for their cars compared to other dealers.

The question is what is the actual Fiorano package worth to you over a standard 355 spider. Considering a mint low mile 99 F1 could probably be bought now in the 110-115 range what are the differences worth to you. I almost bought one when I found my car and the seller went back on our agreed price of 134. This was a little over 2 years ago and I am thankful it didn't workout. I like the Fiorano but it is really just cosmetic differences.

There was a nero daytona/bordeaux 355 fiorano spider F1 for sale in Dupont Registry not too long ago. It was a private sale and the car had only 8k miles on the clock. He was asking $129k.

129k seems pretty steep for an 8k mile car. I think if the car turns out to be nice I'll offer 120k tops. I know they have had this car for a while so its probably on consignment. Thanks for all the input on a good price. What do you think of offering 120k? Like someone posted earlier, the car must be on consignment because it seems like a pretty nice car to be sitting for so long for any other reason than price. What do you think the best way to go about it is, should I just ask right off the bat if its their car or not? I don't want to make a long trip to detroit and come home empty handed lol

Personally I would just casually ask when the time is right.
Did you get ahold of Kizdan?

  24. I wish there was a pozzi/creme 6-speed 355 firano around I would be all over it. I dont think pozzi was ever made with firano tho.
