Hello, I am looking for a very good to excellent condition original 328GTB Red with 10k - 30 k miles. All service records, no mods and must have emission equipment. I live in California. I have owned 3-308's previously. Looking to pay high 40's to low 50's for right 'B'. I know about the 4300 mile one. Too low miles for me. I will be searching all the classifieds on the internet. There are two red 89 328 GTBs on FerrariAds - looks like the other one has 12K miles. I don't know the histories of these cars, but that's a starting point.
Thanks, I called on the 86 in Seattle and already sold. I only want to pay in low 50's max. So the $71k GTB is out of the question. Besides, I would lower its value a great deal when I put the miles on it. The other one had the nose replaced after a smashup. While the work done may be nice, I would prefer an unmolested GTB. I scour the internet three times a day. I have to learn to be patient. Richard
Richard, I researched and searched (semi-seriously) for about three years, then found my GTB about an hour from my house after about nine months of serious looking. Be patient, one will turn up. Good luck! Len
Richard, I can appreciate the fact you dont want a "molested car". But the 1989 328 I have in Ferrari Ads was repaired very well, looks fantastic and drives like it never was in an accident. Since it was repaired at 9600 miles and completed last july I have put over 3000 miles on it and loved every minute. Good luck with your search.
Thanks JPJ I personally have chosen to not buy any automobiles which have been involved in an accident. My personal choice. 18 exoticars in 15 years, but I only keep one at a time. Phone call came too late, I was on my way back from looking and driving a 1990TR and I bought it. I have had a 76 308gtb, 79 308gts, and 83 308gts. I was looking for a "B" and the TR is a "B" with more significant power. Sounds and looks like (based on photos) John's 328GTB is in excellent condition. Thanks for the help, Rich
