Hey all, looking for my first f-car. Mainly looking for a well serviced higher mileage gated 348. Preferably looking for a black, red or blueish exterior with a tan or black interior. I would post in classifieds, yet I am assuming since I am a new member I am not allowed to?

I am looking for a car that has been driven, I don't want a car that sits for 6 months out of the year. My preferable car would be red targa with tan interior. Looking for one on the mid to west coast. Preferably located somewhere in California but I am up to view a car as far away as Texas. I am willing to pay for the right vehicle, but am not really looking to spend more than ~$40,000 on a 348.

A car with exterior cosmetic problems would be great as well. Hell, if anyone has any condition/color/mileage 348 under $40,000 PM me please. I am eager to hear from you guys.

Does anyone know the history of this vehicle?

1994 Ferrari 348 Spider | Orem, UT | Asay Auto Sales

    VIN: ZFFRG43A6R0097847

Or if anyone has viewed the car/lives near and can stop on a lunch break? I'm about 600 miles away and would hate to drive out there just to see a million issues.

That price should buy you a very good one indeed! I paid less for my extremely nice blk/blk 1990 348 ts just a few months ago.

    Happy hunting!

I've talked with Richard (Asay auto owner) on this car a couple of times. They bought the car at an auction, so they have no service history with the car. I myself am still slightly interested in the car. They replaced the windsheild due to a crack a while back. The cracked windshield and the missing front carpet/trim pieces makes me wonder if there is something more to the story on it.

    Also notice mis matched tires.

i think I ran a carfax on it and it was clean. i can't seem to find the hard copy at the moment though.

If you could find a copy of that carfax, that would be great. The no service records isn't that big of a deal breaker for me. If you mind me asking, did you talk price with him? You can PM me if you want. If I can get that sub 30K, I may go for it but would definitely prefer a coupe/targa. I won't have a garage for another 4 months or so - so I may or may not hold out for a coupe. Don't want anyone slashing the top while its parked over night. I would be driving it from Utah back to Northern California if I were to purchase.

Also I saw this yellow one: https://chicago.craigslist.org/nwc/cto/4367641530.html

But I am not so keen on a yellow 348. And I saw this perfect coupe red on tan in Texas, but I believe it has either sold, or the owner doesn't want to sell it. He never responded to my email: 1990 Ferrari 348 TS

    Thanks for help!

Try the 348 in Texas again. I sent him an email earlier this week and got a response within 15 minutes Seller is a doc so could be quite busy and I caught him at the right moment.

Good luck with your search. Be patient, and continue to report on this thread when you find a potential model as there is a good chance someone here may know the vehicle.

Thanks for the headsup Randy. I emailed the guy in Texas again. That would be my preferable car. I wish patience was my strong suit.

It appears to be a good car. It's a bit of distance from me, and unsure where you are located, but can always try to make a trip down if you need someone to check it out or handle a PPI with someone nearby for you.

Nice. If you do happen upon it, drop me a line when you do. Can always help deliver you to the car. Your trip would top my nearly 800 mile return trip in my 348 a few months ago.

I would buy that spider in a heart beat assuming it passed the basic tests and inspections. I wouldn't even care if a PPI wasn't all that positeve so long as the engine internals looked good.
