As the title says... I may need a cover for an early 2.7 engine. Doea anyone have one they'd consider parting with?

Machined as a matched part with the cylinder head. A different one may fit okay but you are better off fixing the one the car came with.

More like the bolts on the cam cover were over-tightened and it is now cracked. ;);)

I don't know how it was damaged..... It came that way. The more I work on this car the more I find I want to go down and kick the tech, that had been servicing this car in the balls. It seems like every time I go to do something I find something broken or just plain F'ed up.

But I think I'm turning the corner and getting most of the issues resolved. If nothing else I've made friends with the parts guy at Algar. I think he's ammused with some of the stuff that needs relacing

It doesn't really look like it btoke off, just like it cracked and then was welded but not that well. I have a friend that may be able to repair it but I'd like to see if I can find a replacement just in case.

That is the bright side...once you fix all this stuff then it will be 'right' and ready to just enjoy. I've seen some crazy bad repair stories from the pros on Fchat who end up having to correct them...

He's not my tech... I bought it this way. I wouldn't let those guys work on my lawn mower. Once I get all through with this project I'll post details but I'll need to get some information from the prior owner beforehand to confirm when some of this work was done.

You are 100 percent correct.... but I want to drive it now :) I will not be one of the guys that doesn't drive their car.
