Anybody can help me locate a carburated 365 GT4 2+2 Engine, complete and running? Thank you. Regards, Alberto
Complete, means 100% there. Possibly a valve cover nut missing, not more. Running, means just that. Proof required. On 12 cylinders, and not throwing parts out the sides or out the exhaust. In other words, it has to start, run, stop without any extra excitement that was not included at the factory. Not a dog. If you have one that fits the description, please pm. I am interested and always a good listener. Thank you. Regards, Alberto
Thats means that you have a not runnig 12 cylinder engine, I need the heat shields of that engine. If have them, do you want to sale them. PD Sorry my English is not good
There is (and has been for about 3 years)a bloke in Sydney(Aussie)trying to offload a 400i GT.This car has some rustaround front and rear windows,BUT,he also has a full carby setup that may be negotiable in the sale. He'd be fairly keen to sell, and you would have a resalable shell and running gear to put up on this forum. Just an idea.
Simon, you mean a 400i can be converted to carbs? I would definitely be interested if the engine runs, but must be proven, as I really don't need the extra work. You want to partner up? I am a bit far to be able to do much. Regards, Alberto
The first of the 400's were carby. The car is a registered, driving, roadworthy car. I'm in far north Queensland, about 3000klms from Sydney. There are other Fchatters who live there who would be more suited. If you would like to go any further please let me know and I'll email them. The only problem is that I won't be available until Friday morn as I have to go fishing.
Simon, Thank you for the kind offer. Yes, I would like to pursue it further, and if you could help, that would be great. Happy fishing! Regards, Alberto
Here's the car Simon is talking about. It is fuel injected BUT I think the seller also has an engine with carbs for sale http://www.carsales.com.au/all-cars/private/details.aspx?Cr=3&R=10947496&keywords=&trecs=4&__sid=13206FE0F6E0&__Ns=pCar_RankSort_Int32|1||pCar_PriceSort_Decimal|1||pCar_Make_String|0||pCar_Model_String|0&__Qpb=1&tsrc=allcarhome&__Nne=15&seot=1&__N=1216%201246%201247%201252%201282%204294966380%204294959514&silo=1011
Thanx,Greg. When I spoke to the bloke about a year and a half ago,he wasn't moving from $39K. About a couple of months ago he did drop it to his current price. He had a whole bunch of other stuff including the engine and a set of carbs.
It is a big world...something will turn up sooner or later. It always does, no? Thank you all. Regards, Alberto

I guess you've seen the thread regarding the carby powered 400 on ebay currently?? It's up to about $8800 US at the moment.
although i know you're after a carbed V-12, i could build you a fresh injected V-12 Ferrari motor if a carbed motor doesn't end up becoming available... and from a car that's already been parted, so another car wouldn't necesssarily sacrificed. again, just an alternative.
