I am looking to buy my first Ferrari, a used (2005-2009) 612. I currently own a Bentley Continental GT and a couple of other rides, but I would sell my B to but the Ferrari. Once I buy the 612, and assuming a quality car with no more than 10,000 miles, what can I expect to pay in maintenance costs if I drive 5,000 miles per year? Are there extended warranties available for Ferraris, and if there are, do they make economic sense? Where is the best place to look for a 612? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I typically scout duPont Registry, eBay, and Ferrari's Authorized Pre-Owned website.

    1. Here is the duPont link for 612's:

    http://www.dupontregistry.com/autos/Search/DRauSearchResults.aspx?sorttype=1&makeid=31&makename=Ferrari&modelid=36&modelname=612%20Scaglietti

    2. Here is the eBay link for 612's in descending price order:

    http://shop.ebay.com/?_from=R40&_trksid=p3907.m38.l1313&_nkw=ferrari+612&_sacat=See-All-Categories

    3. Here is Ferrari's Pre-Owned website:

I think there are other places, including FerrariAds on F-Chat, that some people may link you up to. This should get you started, though.

In terms of maintenance costs, etc, you will have to find that out from a 612 owner. I don't know much about extended warranties either.

IMO the ext warranty makes NO sense - its a solid all around car

I would suggest looking for a HGTC or HGTS pkg. The 612 cars are the best daily driver Ferrari has ever made. Do not get hung up on miles as todays Ferrari's should be driven at least 5,000 miles a year. I have owned mine for a year and offer one suggestion.

Tighten the gas cap after fueling!

How honestly can you not see one!! ?. You need your eyes tested, there is no bigger car produced.

    Best of luck

I bought my 612 from Hank last summer, and I will vouch for him. Honest and easy to deal with.

The sales manager, Lawrence, on the other hand, not so much.

Just kidding--both are good, honest guys.

Thanks guys for the compliments. I try really hard to take care of everyone and treat people the way I want to be treated. I really enjoy what I do and I love the relationship that builds from the whole "car buying" process... I've always hated buying a car and having to deal with a "salesman" but I try to make it an enjoyable experience and I have a lot of fun "working"...

Thanks again and I hope we continue to do business together for a long, long time!

    Hank
