You should pay less than that price, for a driver. Drop another 10K for a driver, with some cosmetic and mechanical issues.

At 70/75K today, it should be a little better than a driver.

During the Summer of 07 (a sellers market), you should have been able to find a 1991 "driver," with 35/45K miles, for 70/75K - retail.

Check the condition of the clutch, and make sure the chain tensioner has been updated. The 91-93 cars, are some of the fastest 2wd Diablo autos, produced by the factory.

    Steve,

The Cn prices, are most likely a little higher than U.S. prices.

Typically, you cannot import this car, unless it is modified.

A car has to be 25 years old, for you to import it without a lot of restrictions. If a car is on the DOT list, it can be imported after you modify the car, to DOT/EPA standards. If the car is not on the importation list, you can petition, to have the year included on the list. It can cost a lot of money, to modify a car, to meet DOT/EPA standards. You will also have a lot of other expenses - brokerage, insurance, importation taxes, shipping, exhange rate, and a customs bond etc...

Economically, it is disadvantageous, to modify a relatively inexpensive car, and import it into the USA. You also have a lot of potential buyers, that will not touch a grey market car, with a ten foot pole. I don't have a problem with grey market cars, if you take into account up-front, the reduced value of the car. About five years ago, the Euro was worth approximately 80 cents. At the time, they had nice 1992 512TR's for sale on mobile.de (a German car website), for around 55-60K euros. Every time I added up the numbers, it made no economic sense, after all the bills were added up. Today, the Euro, is worth a lot more than .80 cents.

*JASON - oops, I messed up your post. My mistake. I hit the wrong button. I did not look, to modify your post. You quoted Emilio's post, and I accidently wrote inside of your box. Take care. I can delete the entire thing, if you would like.

    Ciao
    Ralph
    Happy New Year !!
