    Do either of you show readiness monitors on a OBD2 scanner?
    Do either of you even have OBD2 connectors?

    What I'm trying to find out is whither or not a Euro Motronic ECU can be put in a USA car and pass smog tests without being re-flashed

    Where should I look for it? I have never had a engine diagnostic symbol on the dash. Do you US model owners have that?

    Well the situation has been resolved. I have no need for other ECUs as mine have been repaired. It turns out that there was nothing wrong with my car after all. The problem was internal in the EUC, a broken wire.
    Today it passed Ca. smog with no problems :)

    Inside the ECU case! It was to do with the 02 sensor heater circuit,
