I just posted a WTB in FerrariAds but figured I'd ask directly too. I'm looking for a needle in a haystack but there are a lot of haystacks around here so why not? :D I'm a cash buyer, ready to move on the right car so let me know if you have one for sale. I really want a euro 84/85 GTB in red/tan (I know, but this will be my first Ferrari and it simply must be red/tan) and I'm willing to wait for one if necessary. I'm discovering that these are really hard to find and the ones that are out there are generally owned by long-term enthusiasts. Of course a really nice well-sorted carb car is always worth considering too! Thanks in advance.

I went on the same journey two years ago, without the red/tan requirement though. I eventually found a US GTB QV instead.

Don't be in a hurry. It's worth the wait. I've seen a handful of Euro GTB QVs over the past two years....Good luck!

Jack Yardley had a red '85 Euro 308 GTB for sale 2-3 months ago in Dallas. He is a regular Norwood customer and Mike Kuhn and James Patterson at Norwood know him and the car well. You can track Jack down through Mike or James at Norwood and ask if it is still available.

I know the market very well, with 308s trading hands anywhere from the high teens to nice cars in the 30s to Newmans for a lot more. A good car costs what the buyer and seller agree to, and I definitely want a good car. If the right car is 40k that's just fine. But if it's 30k I certainly wouldn't complain.

Beautiful! That pic shows why I want a GTB, an Italian supermodel with all the right curves. Definitely worth the wait.

Thanks for the tip, I'll give them a call tomorrow.

You don't have to worry about timing belt failures with that one, Big red. It's got pushrods!

God I saw that and thought I was in bizzarro world. Unbelievable. There's a guy around the corner from me with a black 355 and two doors down from him another guy has one of the very last Fiero GTs. Both are nice but I can't imagine them gettin' busy....

All I know is if this works out I owe Lew a very large drink. I have been looking at 308s for a long time, nearly bought one 10 years ago. Then life changed, got married, kids, you know the drill. More recently I've been looking seriously for the past several months and to suddenly find one so quickly that hits all the high points is a little surreal. I'm trying not to get too excited but if I had ordered one new it would have been exactly like this car. Tough couple weeks ahead. :)

I don't know what that front spoiler is on the Dennig car but it's definitely not a euro deep spoiler. Doesn't look bad, but it isn't right, and that affects the price quite a bit. I am not a low-baller, but that car is 25k max. They didn't even bother to clean the interior.
