Hello guys, I'm looking to buy a 1995 F355 GTS Red/Tan that has been well maintained but definitely driven.. Anyone in the board interested in selling theirs??? Anyone?? Or anyone know of one for sale anywhere? Thanks. Erdem.
There is a 1996 one right here in FerrariAds if that is of any interest. I have nothing at all to do with this
There is a 1997 Red/Tan F355 GTS 6-speed for sale at Prestige Autohaus in Walnut Creek, California...
Thanks guys. I have actually seen both of those before. I have contacted the owner of the 96 but he is asking 95K for his car and said that he is pretty firm on price. That is way too much for what I'm looking for. Besides, he has the speedlines which I don't particularly like too much. And pretty much the same story on the 97. I think they are asking 110K for it. Not even worth calling and negotiating over. That is why I am looking for a 95 with some miles on it. Because I don't want a garage queen. I want a car that I can drive without worrying about the mileage getting too high because I paid the "garage queen" premium when I bought it and now I'm loosing that with every single mile I put on the car. Surely, this car won't be an investment but I want one that has been carefully driven at least like 20K miles for a reasonable price. Thanks for the suggestions though. Please keep them coming if you have anymore.
Wow, I'm sure you can do better than those ones. Sounds like people that bought their cars a while back and are trying to recoup most of their investment now. If you don't mind having a rebuilt title, and you are really looking at driving the thing and not worried as much about resale, then check out the GTS that Martin has on his website.
Thanks Eric. I have actually already been talking to Martin about that one and am waiting for the car to come back from the body shop. I made him an offer on this car several weeks ago but he would not accept it because he said that he wanted to make sure about his cost for the car staying under his sale price. I guess he also wanted to see what other offers he could get for it too. In essence though, I am only interested in that particular one (being a rebuilt title and all) because it is from Martin and he guarantees the work on the car. I would normally much rather get a 95 with more miles with a clean title.
Yeah, I can understand that. Salvage titles scare me too. Let me know if you end up with it, though. It looks like it should be a sweet car when its ready. I've also heard nothing but good things about Martin as well, so there is definitely some value to buying from a trusted source. good luck!
If you go for a higher mileage, for example 35,000miles 95 F355, don't forget that you are buying into an ageing car with obviously wearing parts. You should be looking for over £15-20,000 ($25,000+) worth of receipts in my opinion - three engine out cambelt services, manifolds, a couple of clutches, brakes, ecus, front-end re-sprays, wheel refurbs, re-connolisation. Then you know you've had owners that have cared and been proactive about addressing issues. If you don't have these receipts, you risk being hit hard in the years ahead... if you are unlucky. By the way, I speak from a small amount of experience - having gone through a lot in the last year, although on a 19,000 mile car. So get a balanced view from several people. But I'm not bitter it ALL worth it!! Just don't want to see it happen to someone who was not prepared Ade
