That will get him into a 308, (cheap) 328 or a Mondial. Don't look on autoscout.ch because Switzerland does not belong to the EU. This means that you have to pay additional tax when you enter the car into the EU.

The problem with 35K is that it is just the breakpoint between a 308 and a 328. In my opinion the 328 is a much better car. But a good one will cost you at least 37-38K. He can definitely buy a good 308 or Mondial for that money.

I will keep an eye out.

The engineroom in Antwerpen does not always have the best quality of cars. I looked at a few of their cars and I am not impressed.

    Hi Bob,

am looking for a 328GTS as well, so let me know if you find one that you are not interested in.

By the way: engineroom car is sold.

    Other locations for a 328GTS:
    http://www.gtm-motorsport.be/inventory/014.html

also garage Beerens in Antwerp has a blue one for sale. www.garagebeerens.be

Most of the ones on autoscoot and automatch have been sold.

    Good luck,
    Frank

Hi Bob, be sure you drive the different models.
The mondial 8 is a lot slower than a 3.2 which in turn is slower than a T. I'd also say that for me 100,000kms is a lot. I'd personally go for the best car I can find for the budget rather than the cheapest version of a model.

If you spend 35,000 on the best 328 you'll probabaly have cheap Fcar ownership for a year or two and you'll get most of you money back if you sell it. If you spend 15,000 on a 100,000kms mondial 8 you'll probabaly find you're spending 1000 euros here and then 2000euros there and this will soon dampen the whole Fcar experience. Just my 2cents.

    Good luck in the search

thx for your comments guy, it's always appreciated :)
i think than my friend will go for a Mondial 3.2 or a 328...
I know than the mondial 8 is not a fast ferrari, but i think than it is a classy car for a resonable price.

Wath is the right price for a Mondial 3.2 coupé or cabriolet ?

...I`m following this thread here and I`m still wondering about the question and the "buyer"?
    Why?
I have never wanted to buy a FERRARI!
I wanted a 308 GTSi QV in red - and nothing else.
So I have been looking/searching exactly for this car.
    .
    .
    .
I wanted a Testarossa, last production year 1991 in red - any nothing else........a.s.o.

A FERRARI? Just to own a Ferrari?
The range he is looking for is so huge and so many different types.

My advice: Buy your dream car and not just a Ferrari for 35K.
    Look at a Mondial T,
    look at a Mondial 3.2
    look at a 308
    look at a 328
    think about GTS or B

Which one is the one you get nervous and wet dreams? THATs the one to go for and buy!

    ....just my 0,02 cents;)

Why not look in Italy for a 208 GTB/GTS Turbo Intercooler? These babies had a huge reputation - the 2.0 litre engine had 254 HP, massive torque (over 330 Nm if I remember right) and most of it available low down, unlike the 328.

I have a 1986 test drive showing that the 208 turbo could easily keep up with the 328 (0-100 in 6.3s, 0-160 in 14.5s, standing Km in 26.3s), with the added bonus of massive mid-range torque if you managed to keep the turbos spinning.

Most of them were sold in Italy, and in the mad days of 1989-'90 they were exchanging hands for today's equivalent of 120.000 Euros... many owners were "burned" when the market crashed in '92, and they kept their cars for many years afraid even to drive them, hoping one day to recover some of their silly investment. That day never came, and gradually all these as-new, low-mileage Ferraris slowly came back onto the market at more realistic prices.

Which is why today you still find several genuine original low-mileage 208 GTB/GTS Turbo Intercoolers around Italy, and today's prices are around 35-40.000 Euros for a good one.

Look on www.autosupermarket.it it's the best Italian website for prestige cars.

    the buyer's dream ferrari is a F355...
But since he has 2 babies (3 months and nearly 2 years), he could'nt afford a f355.

So he wants to buy a ferrari for less than 35.000...
At this price 348 are also out of range (or sometimes one not soo great model...)

He really like 328, but still a little bit expensive...

Soo, a mondial will be a good choice...

In fact guy i don't agree with you, for me (and yes i'm really mad about ferrari...) a ferrari IS and STILL a Ferrari...

A mondial 8 has a beautifull V8, and the sound of it :)
A mondial 8 has a chrome grille gearbox

So In fact he wants the ferrari soul, and not a specific model...

I think than for a real ferrari fan, every model is a step in the ferrari dream....
