The internet is amazing. Below is a web site that allowed me to upload your book cover, analyzed it, and spat out the following. If you can't read it, the best match appears to be: Corporate S Bold or Jesterday(sic) bold http://new.myfonts.com/WhatTheFont Image Unavailable, Please Login
It's not Helvetica.... the glyph on the R is all wrong. And the spur on the G isn't exact right either. Having said that... If you're just trying to match the type OP, just user Hel bold and less than 1 in 100,000 people would even notice the difference. BTW if I had to guess I'd guess from the looks of it (and the age) it came off an old Compugraphic machine... in which case you'd never match it exactly today.
I love whatthefont but that's not within a 1000 miles. Look at the G And it ain't AG Old Face either... look at the R.
I'd say it definitely looks like a version of Helvetica with the letters spaced closely together. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
As usual, you guys are full of awesome!! Helvetica surely will do the trick (and I think we even have it on our work computers), I agree that no one will notice the 0.0001% difference - thanks a lot!!
Final verdict: Looks like it really is Helvetica (although the 'O's are a bit off), picture attached. Thanks again! Image Unavailable, Please Login
I have to agree, it's not Helvetica, possibly a variant. The M diagonal strokes are thinner in your version. The foot on the R is slightly different. After looking at the original and your version I would say your version isn't Helvetica, the original is. There are so many copies of Helvetica around it's hard to tell the original from a copy
