    All,

My GREAT Aunt is/was a WASP. She is NOW 92 years young. I own a 1972 T210 and she loves to join me in the air. Actually, when it is bumpy she is the only one willing to join me. My dream is to find her a ride in a T-6 as this was one of the planes she flew in 1942. She is still healthy, drives daily, works 3 days a week as a volunteer and is a great inspiration to everyone she meets. I am hoping to find a way to experience a flight in a part of history that she was gracious enough to create for all of us.

For anyone that may be able to help, they can also enjoy experiencing the original materials of this living legend. I have all her original training materials, note books from classes, license, maps and ID's. And there is nothing better then her telling about what missions they asked her to fly. She flew a lot of planes from cubs to twin beeches but she said she loved the T-6.

Any assistance would be greatly apprecaited.

    Danny

This is when I wished that I owned a T-6 and could render some assistance here. I remember WASPS coming through our station when they were ferrying airplanes to the west coast. How I envied them! I hope that you can find someone who will do this for a worthy lady.

There's a T-6 operator selling rides at the Deland, Florida airport and possibly at the Kissimmee (FL) airport. I'll post their websites tomorrow. Both have been advertising in the Orlando paper. Let us know what part of the country you are in and check back manana.

HistoryFlight is selling rides in a T-6 and B-25H all winter. For more info, add dot com to the company name and find them on the web. Good luck with your search!

Where is she located? There's a flight museum in Dallas that sells rides in their T-6. We bought one for my father in law for his 75th. He trained in them in the AF and had a blast.

Cavanaugh's info on rides can be found here http://cavanaughflightmuseum.com/warbird_rides.htm
