    The car I learned to drive in was a 1979 Lancia Beta HPE. I have looked everywhere in the states to find one in running condition with no luck. If anybody comes across one please let me know. Thanks !!!

    I had a 76 Beta Coupe new and remember seeing this car in the sales brochures. I saw quite a few Scorpians a the dealers as well back in the mid 1970s but I never saw the HPE in the flesh. I can believe they're pretty damn rare here by now. Good luck.

    Is it really that hard to find one? I have a friend here locally who uses one as a daily driver during the good weather season. He just had it repainted in its original blue a couple of years ago.
