A friend of mine was telling me that in the late '50s, probably around 1959, his father bought a Ferrari race car here in Southern California. My friend was young and only slightly interested in cars so what he recalls of the car is pretty vague. He does remember that it had a headrest and was a four-cylinder. He isn't too computer literate so I told him I'd see what I could find. His description somewhat narrows it down to possibly a 500 Mondial, a 500TRC or a 750 Monza. I'm looking for someone who is well-versed in those cars and perhaps has access to information beyond what I've been able to come up with through all the usual sources. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

What was his father's name? As for the car: Color? I assume RHD?

The father's name was Russell Goodwin. My friend said his father had no intention of driving it himself. The car was red. It could have been LHD (or maybe RHD)
