Hi everyone! I am looking for a local Florida car. 1999 Porsche 996 AERO COUPE Black on Black Stick with low miles. 10,000-45,000. If anyone knows of a nice car please let me know!!
Maybe this one???? http://www.cars.com/go/search/detail.jsp;?tracktype=usedcc&searchType=21&pageNumber=0&numResultsPerPage=50&largeNumResultsPerPage=0&sortorder=ascending&sortfield=YEAR+ascending%2CPRICE+descending&certifiedOnly=false&criteria=K-%7CE-%7CM-_41_%7CD-_386_%7CN-N%7CR-250%7CI-1%7CP-YEAR+ascending%2CPRICE+descending%7CQ-ascending%7CZ-33418&aff=national&paId=147123540&recnum=29&leadExists=true I don't know if the Aero coupe is a model or not, but this is a 99 911 black coupe with an Aero body kit in Orlando. BT
That would be a different "aero kit". I like this one much better though. Don't know if she is black on the outside and black on the inside
Sorry that I don't have any leads on a 996 Aero that fits your color requirements (do know of a local dark blue one that is available through my ex-Porsche mechanic for around the high 30's IIRC), but just wanted to simply wish you all the best in your search. BTW, have you seen this recent thread yet? http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=96761 Apparently, there were rear main seal issues with the earlier '99-'01 996's. The consesus is to try and find a later model 996 ('02 and later), or make certain that the seal issues were addressed on the earlier model. I recently saw a red / black 996 Aero parked at a local hotel portico, and it really caught my eye -- sweet looking ride!
Hi Eric, Thanks for your input! Yes i know about the rear main seal problems. $800 repair... but to me it is minor compared to the problems i have had with owning Mercedes and Jaguar automobiles. I have had alot of time driving numerous makes and i am really impressed with the bang for the buck of the early 996. I am in love with the 1999 Aero Kit car. 2002s had the upgraded headlights and i dont like the look as much, and i have found most 2000 plus Aero Kit cars are all C4's. My plan is to make a pretty cool GT3 club racer out of the car. 2wd, lightweight, simple and fun! Thanks!!

You would think that shopping for a Porsche on a Ferrari site would be directed to the "Other Off Topics " section. Maybe you should try www.cars.com
Yes, except John is looking for a local Florida car, and this is a regional request. I would never have seen this thread if it was in off topic. Got any Black/black 1999 911's in Bradenton??? Plus, it gives Paul Sloan a chance to say that Porsche's aren't as exotic as Ferraris. BT
I just hope that people don't start advertising "Neighbor Hood garage sales" because it is a local listing.
LOL Yes i am looking for a car that might be owned or familiar to Fchat Florida guys. I have found that so many of the cars are really "ragged" out.
Here is another that looks like it might fit the bill: http://www.automart.com/vehicledetail/adid-33544880/1999/porsche/996/hallandale/fl Or maybe this one in Jacksonville: http://adcache.collectorcartraderonline.com/10/1/2/82838012.htm BT
Actually looking at the pictures (and backgrounds), those both are the same car pictures. One ad says Hallandale (and a little blurry), the other is Jacksonville. Could be fraud??? BT
Please note: I have never said that Porsches aren't as exotic as Ferrari's what I said was that Modern day Porsches are not exotic....88,000 cars made last year precludes them from being termed exotic.....except for ones painted speed yellow of course. I hope that clears that up Oh I also said that all train wrecks are caused by Porsches!
I know that's what you said. That is exactly why I termed my post as you saying Porsche's are not AS exotic as Ferraris. Because I know you do not consider them to be Exotic, I almost guaranteed you to post what you did to clear things up. You see, I was using my powers of Psychology on you, and you fell for it! Yes, I am super special. Please see my What is Exotic thread in General discussion. BT
U must tik we ale hillbillies in Bradentucky. That porch u lookin at must have monster mudders on it, and races at Desoto Speedway
Yes, the pics certainly appear to be the same car. The ad from Jacksonville is legit, as it was listed by my "ex" Porsche mechanic here (Technical Dimensions), and is the car which I alluded to earlier on. Don't know what to say about the Hallandale ad...unless the owner of this particular 996 lives there and is selling it on consignment through Technical Dimensions here in Jacksonville (?). Either way, it probably doesn't fit AllOutExotics' color combo criteria.
Heck naw. I figgur y'all thot ya wur kuntry 'caus of yer town name of Braid-n'-tucky. Catfish in a 348 sounds good to me. BT
