I' m thinking about purchasing a 360 this coming week and I'm looking for a honest and ethical company to do a PPI. Do any of you know of one in the Kingston, MA area? Thanks.

We are in the Boston area and can perform the PPI for you... We have extensive Ferrari experience and a full diagnostic tester to perform clutch wear checks, etc. Dave Angeloni, our Fcar tech, and I have been working on 360s since they were new production in 1999 so very familar with the car.

Don't hesitate to contact me with any questions

Another good shop from what I hear. I have never dealt with Steve O but he is well known in the area for a long time and I have heard only very good reports about him.

The Boston area is blessed with a number of excellent and competent shops to look after F-cars.

I have heard nothing but good things from other local Ferrari owners about AMNE and had them help me out on one occasion and thought they provided great service.

In regards to IFS, from what I've heard, that shop is better with the older models.

    Good luck!

BSC has always serviced my Fcar and has my very highest recommendation. They really know Ferraris...all models, have a first rate facility and are an absolute pleasure to deal with. You can't go wrong with BSC for either a PPI or repairs.

I have to respectfully disagree regarding Boston Sportscar. I, as well as several friends, have had nothing but bad experiences with them. Shoddy work and immature (bordering on unethical) behavior.

The other two shops mentioned both have good reputations. I have used IFS, in the past, and was pleased with their service.

Also, one more option would be Ferrari Service of Bedford, in Bedford, NH. David Feinberg is THE BEST. Period.

Interesting, as it is diametrically opposed to my experience at BSC. Can you provide some specifics regarding their shoddy work and near unethical behavior?

Several years back, I was looking to trade my first 328 to Sport Auto. We were working on a deal over the phone and they asked if I would mind letting Darin (BSC) look the car over, just to confirm the photos and details I had given. We hooked up a couple days later. He looked the car over top to bottom, took it for a nice ride and we chatted for bit regarding it's history and condition. After talking he said the car ran well and looked good cosmetically aside from a front bumper that needed a respray. He told me he would be in touch with Sport Auto, we shook hands and I left. The next morning I got a call from Sport Auto saying the deal was off. Darin told them the car was "mediocre at best" and he would not recommend them trading for it. I still don't know what his reasoning was for relaying a different opinion than he gave me, but it didn't sit well. I wasn't personally hurt because he didn't like my car, but felt he was dishonest. I felt it was a dishonest representation of a solid vehicle (the car was not a platinum car, but a very good, well sorted driver) and was an act that put my reputation in question with a few people. Regardless of his reasoning for saying what he did, I do not have a high regard for anyone that will look you in the eye, tell you one thing, and then turn around and tell the next person something different.

Regarding the workmanship issues, I will let my friends know about this thread, and they can relay the details of their stories if they would like. I did not use BSC for servicing on my cars. But, I can tell you I know of at least two 308's that were serviced and then needed to be brought to other shops to correct the mistakes BSC made and solve the problems they could not figure out.

I am glad you have had good experiences with them, but I just did not share the same experiences.
