I have a friend who wants a red/tan 348 (anything but a spyder) and wants to trade an alfa spider in against it. Anyone know of any for sale?

Try eBay and then have a PPI done on the car before purchase. DupontRegistry.com is also good. They each have a few cars that match your description.

    Not a 355? I am shocked. A 512TR is amazing though.

What is going on with that? I saw that you are getting it repaired already. Does that mean that you worked it out with the garage? Or are you just getting it done and having your insurance co. work it out with them?

Did you own it or leased it? The reason why I'm asking is if you own it, I would stop talking about it. There will be a time when you want to sell it and probably all the current members of F-chat wouldn't touch the car with a ten foot pole (I'm speaking the truth, guys!). In a few years there will be new members, and some of the old members "may" forget, and it will be easier to unload. If its leased, keep talking. It makes no difference. Leasing company won't know, so the next buyer probably won't find out until he owns it, and becomes a member with F-Chat! Then, again for a steep discount, someone will buy it. In business the first thing you learn is "Less is MORE"!!!The Less said the better.

Actually, it doesn't matter if it's leased or purchased. In business, I also learned that honesty will get you a long way. I'm a straight forward guy and I would do a full disclosure on the car to anyone who's interested in the car. The car is not really for sale (I was just being sarcastic). As long as the car is not structurally effected, it's repairable. Is it harder to get rid of a Ferrari with accident on the carfax report? Yes, it is. But there's a price for everyone. Hopefully, with my attorney on myside, I will recover the diminished value from the Parking Garage.

    Just my $0.02

I agree. Never said to lie. Just say Less. I just feel you were in an accident and the car took a good hit and I'm sure the right body shop will do right by you and the car will look new again and let it lay. I'm not saying not to tell the next owner every detail, but its going to be very difficult to find a buyer after the pictures have been posted for everyone to see. People sell cars all the time and tell the buyer that they were in an accident and tell them the details. I'm sure most people don't show "pictures" to the prospective buyer. My opionion is that you will not collect "diminished value". The garage has what's called "Garage Keepers Liability". You'll get paid for the damage, and that's it. If your policy was for "Actual Cash Value" and it was totaled, you would collect what it was insured for. Having said that, for your sake, I hope I'm wrong (I'm not, though). My opionion is fix it, and I'm assuming that you will not collect "diminished value", sell it and buy another one. Full disclosure of course. I think the longer you keep it, the more it will depreciate because of the accident. If I'm wrong, I owe you a drink at the Four Seasons. Remember, your lawyer will be quick to take the case, then give him a few months, when he's not getting anywhere, he'll tell you "I told you that this is a difficult case to collect anything". I hope I didn't burst your bubble on the "diminished value", but anyone can sue for anything they want. It's all about having a case, and unfortunatley, you don't.
