As I posted in the winter spotters, I just picked up a 2000 Porsche 911 (I know, I know, Ferrari site.....;) ), and the PPI recommended a few things. I'm looking for a reliable, quality shop in the Fox Valley to do the work. I remember a place in St. Charles off Roosevelt but I believe they're gone now. I ran across a place in St. Charles called Euroquipe, but don't know anything about them. I was hoping someone might have had a positive experience in the Geneva, St. Charles, Batavia, etc. area that I can rely on. Thanks for any help!

Yes, yes, that is it. I have heard it is a good place for repairs. However, I have not used them so I have no direct experience.

I also think if you do a search on FChat on Euroquipe, you may find the old posts form others that recommended them.

Yes, I was able to find some old posts on Euroquipe. They sound like they're a solid shop, and they are very close. I hope to get it in soon and will update this with my experience with them. One of the guys involved is named Kautz, and if I remember correctly now, the place I remember was called Kautz something or other and was on Roosevelt Road just east of Kirk Road in Geneva.

    Badges,
Euroquipe is the place you're thinking about. Owner is Tim Kautz. He used to work at the place on 38 that was his dads and known as "Kautz Farms". Best place anywhere to go in my opinion. My family has been taking Porsches to him since '76 and I've been going there since I learned to drive. Also services BMW, Mercedes, Ferrari, Maserati, Aston etc. so I even take my Ferrari there since they high jacked one of the techs from Lake Forest several years ago. In fact, you can see pics of some of my old Porsches on thier website (I was the yellow 993 on the lift and there is a pic of my 348 engine out in the Ferrari section from when I had my major done). Tell Tim I said hi and that between you and I we have his law enforcement needs covered. (ASA)

It's literally a couple of blocks from my in-laws (wellllllllllllll, maybe that's not so good ;) ) and probably 3 or 4 miles from my house. As soon as I get a part in, I'll be making a call to get it in. Thanks for the help!

When I had my 911 I went to Midwest Eurosports in Bensenville. That was a long time ago, but they did a great job and prices were fair.

Just as a quick follow up to this. I did have my service done at Euroquipe and was very, very happy. Everyone was very friendly and there was no sense of things being done or suggested to be done that were not needed. I will definitely be taking my car there for all my service. Thanks for everyone's help here with the recommendation!
