Wow. A legitimate thread. A legitimate question. I guess im the "suka" for believing this thread would be a waste of time like the other threads you have made....."playa"..

About the Rolexs. Make sure you get a real one playa. Dont let no suka play you into a fake one you hear....aight?
Make sure you get a cert. of authenticity with the purchase. That is my advice.
You could always buy a swatch and turn it into a Rolex??? I know your capable of that.....

    Peace out PLAYA

Why was his post edited by Mark?

Anyway be more specific, are you wanting a new or used?

They changed the movement a few years ago on them, their are some good fakes buy from someone reputable or have the back cover taken off to verify its real.

You can spot the 50-$200 fakes from across the room easy, the good fakes cost almost $1000, but you still have a fake.

He had messed up the thread title and then posted a bit about him not being able to fix it. So I fixed it and removed that bit of text.

I guess having a fake Ferrari and real Rolex wouldn't make sense, I am sure he could get a equivalent fake Rolex to his fake Ferrari for around $15 from a street vendor.

I'll bet Mark PDX is busy in front of his computer right now, coming up with that "Swatch converted to a Shmolex with a couple homemade tweaks" wristwatch.
I don't think its really worth it for Lamerossa to bother with a real Rolex, since i think he'd have a hard time convincing anybody that it was real, even if he carried the certificate of origin around in his pocket.
And, i doubt he's aware that its not really chic to wear one anyway, say, apart from a stainless Daytona.

No **** its fake. It does look quite real though. Our next door neighbour who is looking for a nice watch thought it was real. The only thing that he said gave it away is that the seconds hand doesn't move completely smoothly. It looks like a quartz almost but it is an automatic.

Lamarossa, I work for an authorized Rolex dealer. If you have any questions just pm me. Rolex is a fabulous watch manufacturer that has been making fine swiss watches since 1905. The Submariner is an excellent choice. I prefer the ss myself.

My faux Submariner Datejust fooled a Ben Bridge jeweler(authorized dealer) I let him fondle it and was stunned to learn it was a fake.

I have YET to see a excellent replica of the Daytona.

Can't speak for the Submariner but I had a GMT Master II for about a year. Bought it brand new. Worst watch I ever had in terms of keeping time.

If you are interested in a watch that will actually tell you the correct time, you might consider the replica: it will certainly do no worse than the real thing. :)

If you want a great time keeper and do not want to resort to something as classless as wearing a fake, get a good Omega. The new Co-axial watches are some of the best in the world. I wear an Omega Seamaster Professional Chronometer and it is the best watch Ive had thus far.
