    Hello everyone! I need help finding a VIN to a red on white interior 1984 Lamborghini Countach 5000S that used to be owned by my father. I know he bought it out of the Dupont Registry sometime in 1994,and those adverts usually have the vin in them. Any shot one of you guys has been collecting them all?I have reached out to the magazine personally and they said they dont have record of ads before 2016.

    My father is looking to make an offer on the car and just make sure that if it changes hands,he gets a shot at it.

    The car reminds me of the one that hooked me on exotics as a young teenager. I was working at Andretti’s Car Wash in eastern PA as a towel boy back in the late 1980s or early 1990s when Mario pulled up in a very similar spec vehicle. He let me sit in it and it was over for me.

    Dupont Registry was the shizzle back then...I STUDIED them cover to cover. Some amazing cars were offered there for sure. Seems like the resident experts are going to be able to solve your search! I’ve saved years worth of issues of DuPont Registry - they are a hoot to look back through.

    We will see if it is actually the correct car once Michael speaks with my father and verifies a few details. I wish I could remember more but sadly I was tiny at the time. I just remember not being able to talk in that car because of how loud it was and being able to sit "up front" at that age was very cool.

    Thank you for the kind words,I was just telling Michael Call that very thing. Riding around in that car is my earliest memory and really started it all for me. It would be a dream come true just to see that car again.

    The earliest I can remember tearing them apart for bedroom wall art was the late 90's. They were great then,not so many Ashley Madison/Rolex/Ashanti wheels ads and way more cars.

    Incredibly,Michael's 5000s is in fact the same car my dad owned all those years ago. (17 years between ownerships) Couldn't be happier to see it has gone to a great owner. What a small world.
