L/LS..doesn't matter. a manual tranny car, on the east coast. mileage doesn't matter as long as you've taken care of it. sorry to post here, but i hardly ever get responses on ferrariads wanted sections. factory stock is way preferred over a modded car.

Did you try the Alfa Romeo Bulletin Board & Forums? The website address is www.alfabb.com. They have a good 164 section and you can search the cars for sale to see what is being offered. Also, try Autotrader and there is always ebay. I purchased my 1994 LS on Autotrader. I was waiting for a specific model (had to be an LS) and a specific color combination (dark blue with tan interior).

    Good luck,

I do not know why I did not think of this earlier. The Alfa Romeo Owners Club has a website with cars for sale. Their web site is http://www.aroc-usa.org/

They have a classified section on the web site that is free and open to the public. They may also be a good source to consider. My 164 is turning into a love / hate relationship. I love driving the car but the down time for maintenance items has been difficult to manage. However, considering that my 1994 car is now 13 years old, maintenance issues are to be expected. After several months of minor things breaking and needing replacement, I should be entering a period of relative stability.

Good luck and take your time on a purchase. There are usually several available if you are patient.

    Regards,

thanks for the owners club site, but i think the classifieds section is down. i've checked it in the past and it is a good place to find a car. also, good luck with your vehicle. now that you're getting it reliable, it's really time to enjoy it! if you bump into (not literally :)) someone looking to sell, let me know.

    John:

You might try Ferrari & Maserati of Seattle. I traded my '91 164L in last year for a '02 Maserati GT Coupe. They still might have it. I only had 90K miles on it, new clutch, and gorgeous 17" Kinesis wheels and Koni adjustable shocks on it when I purchased it from them about 5 years prior. Ask for Roberto (206) 329-7070.

Here is what it looked like the day I took it in for the trade:
