Hi to everybody! This is my very first post on Ferrarichat; great place! Also I'm a newbie in the Ferrari world, so any help will be well received. I've just bought a 1983 308 GTS QV and I'm looking for an original black gearshift knob. Any idea where could I find one? regards to Ferrariblex. Regards
Welcome to FerrariChat, magnum. If it's an original 308 gearshift knob you want, all you have to do is click on the advertisement for Ricambi Parts flashing above your post. They'll have what you need.
Usually www.RicambiAmerica.com but right now they're only listing the original ones for the 328 (have orange/red lettering instead of white)... so you might try T. Rutlands instead -- call them at 800.638.1444
I was wrong, Ricambi does have it... it just didn't come up in a search. Go go: http://www.ricambiamerica.com/product_info.php?manufacturers_id=&products_id=178
Or you could paint it white. I did mine just to freshen it, I got one of those paint pens from the office supply. Worked like a charm.
It's also the same as the 308GT4, Dino and Tr knob, I believe. Sometimes on Ebay I see them go pretty cheap. dave
Many thanks guys! I will check all these web directions. And if finally I don't find a 308 one, of course I will take a 328 spare and I will do the white paintjob. It's easy. About my nick, well, I'm a fan of Magnum (and his Ferrari 308 of course), so I tried to register it and Hoopsss! it works! The luck of the newbie, you know! I'm from Spain and I've bought the car in the USA. Now I'm waiting that the car arrives to Spain... on 17 April! There's a little bit of traffic marine jam in Miami!! As soon I receive the car I will let you know. A very long wait... Magnum "Higgins! Can I take the keys of the Ferrari?"
Hi tatcat. I'm from Barcelona. Valence is 350 km to the south, 3 hours and half driving, more or less. Cheers
If you are in Europe you could also try the official Ferrari Classic Parts in Egham near London - address etc comes up on search
