    Hi All,

I'm writing a story for Hagerty Classic Cars and we're looking for an original 82-85 Mondial 8 or QV that can be used for a photo shoot in the LA area. We prefer a Coupe however the right Cab would be fine as well. Originality is key here, right down to the original metric wheels, but if we need to, a car with aftermarket or 348 wheels, etc will work.

Thanks so much for your time and if anyone knows of such a car, please PM me. I figured I'd try here first before posting in the CA regional section.

Again, thanks for the time and bandwidth,

    Art

Thanks Don! That 3.2 is stunning, however the later 3.2's and T's fall outside the scope of the article. That being said, I love your car. I've owned two 308's over the years, and I've always pondered a 3.2 as a perfect "next Ferrari".

    Thanks again!,

    Hi Art,

if you would just need photos...mine is original and perfectly resembles the pictures from the sales brochure including the Pioneer Radio (the metric wheels rest in the garage and can be slapped on for a photo shoot.
Only thing it is in Ontario not in LA,

    cheers

You're free to ship my black/red 83 coupe out from NYC, and me with it! ;)
Nice to hear Hagerty is doing an article on our beloved Mondial QV. They're awesome cars.

Hagerty is in my backyard in Michigan, however, I understand you want the car in Calif. If that changes, and you can do the shoot in Michigan, my QV coupe is available. Or, if you want to take the car to Calif that's okay too. Speedline wheels, but, I think they make the car look great. Let me know. Gary

I have a completely original 88 cabriolet. It's in the UK but if you wanted to pay for both of us to fly to california that would be fine too..

I own what has been called the first, or one of the first Mondial QV Cabriolets in the US. Some say it introduced the model in the LA Auto Show: 1983 Ferrari Mondial QV Cabriolet.

The car was in Honolulu for many years and I bought it there. Have owned it for about 12 years. The previous owner bought it in Ca.

I currently live in the LA area - but, alas -- the car is with the extremely capable Dave Helms Team (SRI) in Colorado for complete mechanical redo. Body, seats, and top are still original! If we can help - despite location hiccup - let us know. [email protected].

A little more about our car : Grigio and black. 348 wheels. I am acquiring Standard wheels in original Ferrari design. Dave is nearly finished with the car - doing limited detail work. Looks "used" original - with all major systems and suspension renewed with all possible SRI fixes and enhancements. J

Car is slightly lowered to reduce the gap in the wheel house above the tire.

Hi Guys, you guys are all so generous with your offers to ship your cars! :) We think we have a car, and I'll let you all know if it falls through. As a writer I thank you all for the responses, and as an enthusiast these pictures are (not surprisingly) whetting my appetite to replace my long gone 308's with a Mondial. Thanks again!

If magazine & car owner agrees, post some pics and a preview of the article here please.

Then we get the appetite for buying the magazine! :)
