have a big problem and i am hoping there is an indy dealer or any one who can help out. here is whats going on. thanks for your help

here are the basics, 2005 430 f1. Replaced the battery around 1 month ago. battery is good has 12.7 or around there when i charge it. nows when it gets really weird. with my trunk power switch off. i connect the battery then go to turn on the trunk power switch when i do this the only things that get power in the whole car is the trunk light the power seats work if i press the hazard light they will go on. and when i put the key in the ignition it just makes a very fast beeping sound in all the key position. nothing else at all has power to it. F1 pump no door locks no dash no stereo no ac or heating no wipers no turn signal no dome light no abilty to use the start button every thing has no power. Nothing. also no alarm system active or doing anything at all. push both of my keys no noise no activation nothing. Also i am from nyc and at my familys home in ...... yes boise ID. Where there is noooo dealer or indy dealer. I would just take it to the dealer and get it fixed np. but the nearest is 6 hours. Im in a real bind here any help would be greatly appreciated.

also i looked at a bunch of the fuses ones in the trunk both sets behind the seats the ones by the battery and all seamed to be intact.

i replaced the connectors that go on the battery terminal with higher quality ones. gold plated or something. but once this problem happend i swiched back to the ferrari oem ones. i dont know if this could affect it i just thought i would throw it in there incase it was relevant.

also i know its not the battery cause i went and bought a brand new one today and exactly the same thing happened.

also never had any issues with the car what so ever.

thanks for any help you can give me

    Phil,

You are right Steve Harris is the closest dealer. I think in the past people have used Greg's Auto Haus and Loma's but that is for older Ferraris. I would be shocked if either had worked on a modern Ferrari.

You might try posting in the 360/430 section and see what the other Fchatters have to say.

Sounds like quite the strange issue. I think you're right that it doesn't seem to be a battery issue, but an electrical issue beyond that. Too bad it won't start or I would offer to drive it to Steve Harris for you to get it checked out :)

I can't think of any place in the Treasure Valley to take a 430. There are a couple of places that specialize in European car repair but mostly German stuff. The place on Fairview as you head into downtown (I forget the name but it's on the left side at about 16th or 17th and main) has a good reputation on Euro repairs. Maybe Lyle Pearson? They have a really good Porsche mechanic from what I hear. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
