Just purchased my first Ferrari and one of my dream cars as a kid a 1983 ferrari 308 its qv. While the inside of the car is in excellent condition the exterior is looking rough and I need to do a re-spray.

Wanted recommendation of the best paint shop on the west coast. Cost is not important, only quality. Prefer someone with know Ferrari restoration experience Thanks in advance

I am not affiliated with either shop but they have painted cars for me.

Where are you located? HOC was crazy expensive in the 80s. Some of these shops will charge you more than the car is worth for a paint job

There are several very good paint shops on the West Coast. Aloha23 asked for the best. In my opinion and I've had several cars painted by different shops and have been to Pebble Beach. These 2 shops are among the finest in the country.

Hot Rods Hobbies is around the corner from me. They do things correctly as far as I can see. Very impressive.
How do I know? Im retired from the industry over 35 years in it :)

Dave at Premier is simply the master of painters. When he refinished my Testarossa from an accident back 2013, the car finish work was jaw dropping, dead gorgeous, perfectly matched in color and flawless.

As many said, it was better than Ferrari's factory finish!

thanks for all the great leads. I have noticed that the older Ferraris seem to have flatter paint than new cars. Are good painters able to re-create this? Don't want the new paint to be too sparkly and not look right.

Also anyone have detailers they think are the best?

I know this thread is several months old but in case you're still searching, I would look into (Steve) Beckman Metalworks as another candidate.
