I have a mix of braided steel (from pump to 1st carb) and rubber. It appears proper size is 1/4" ID (ie, 6.3mm).

What is the `correct' size & material for a 1971 246GT Euro (in case it differed between years/models)? And where's a good source for it?

Isn't there somebody out there that can post a photo of an OEM style fuel hose with readable markings? Is it Cavis semi-transparent, or is it black rubber, etc?

I guess that virtually all fuel lines have been exchanged in the past, so hard to find a reference. Have seen fabric covered rubber lines looking original, then again Superformance lists the classic green transparent Cavis fuel line. Ignoring these options, i have installed modern black rubber fuel lines (Eckstein PZG 8, Din 73379, 7.5x13.0) with a thin fabric inlay running in the middle of the rubber wall. Does not look not out of place and was the safest option i could find. I don't think you need braided steel lines for low pressure carb setups.

So is the correct size of fuel line hose from pump to carbs 6.3mm or 7.5mm? I'm not so concerned about exact match of material with original, but I do want to replace the steel braided for black rubber fuel hose and just need the correct hose ID/OD size info. And clearly the steel braided existing hose has no info marked on it like rubber hose to give me the answer.

See if Ricambi is offering a kit for the Dino of the improved material fuel lines.

The "correct" ones for the car are no longer suitable for modern fuel, maybe you could slip some woven black nylon sleeving over them for the proper 'effect"????

I think the clear Cavis is only for tank vents???
    It is on my 308GTB.
