Dear friends, I have an set original set of Campagnolo 7.5x14" wheels that are pretty banged up (not by me). I am looking for another set of 14 campy's that I can bring up to cocours standards for FCA judging. If any of you have a set or know where I can find one please e-mail me. Paint is not important but condition of metal is, I am going to repaint but since these weels are magnesium I am looking for ones with no metal damage. There are several on ebay right now but they are scratched and not the correct wheels. I have a set 16" hre 288gto wheels and Dave H's 16" QV wheels. The correct numbers on the back are: 40899, 28B, TBE/T4, 76 and on the front they say Ferrari, 71/2x 14" , Campagnolo Ferrari of UK has brand new 14" that are very nice but they are the Speedlines made in 1980, and not correct so as far as judging goes and they would be as in-correct as my QV wheels. If anyone knows of an excellent wheel repair place they have used I would be interested in pursuing that option also. I am willing to pay a fair price for the right wheels remember paint is not an issue, but metal condition is! I also apologise for wasting bandwidth. Thanks, Robert Garven here are my two "incorrect" sets
Me too! Actually, on the 14's I have seen Speedline, Campi, AND Chromodoras all using similar molds (not Identical however) during the same time period, '76 thru 80 or so....... Don't think it would be a 'deduct points' situation..... I have rehabbed some pretty banged up wheels before repainting using polyester putty from the body shop.......worth a try????
Those would be the rare 'one year only' 16" 308 wheels that are worth over 2,400.00 per set on eBay?????????
He's looking for original 14" wheels... what they have at that link are reproduction QV 16" wheels from Superformance UK.
Dear Friends, I called about 5 different places that repair wheels and one of the better known places said that if they bead blasted that they could catch fire or explode. I know Peter on this site had his blasted and they look great. I am wondering if anyone has had any idea how to check if they are magnesium. http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=34634&highlight=308+wheels Sean, I am going to keep the other wheels but might sell the HRE's if I can get the 14" set together! I have quite a bit of money wrapped up in both sets and sure I am going spend quite a bit more, but hey I told my wife wheels are like shoes to a guy, I think we all need at least 3 sets, right? Thanks, Rob
Many ferrari wheels label on the back side what the wheel is made of. Example, if you read Al it prob. is Al...

3 front 2 rear. one of them has slight curb damage, the cracked one is broken all the way through the hub. they came off the last 308 i had, which i purchased after it hit a curb and shattered the left front wheel and damaged the left rear. i sold that car and have another Ferrari bieng delivered next weekend that is more to my tastes. notice the cracks in this wheel. this whole set of 5 came from Sodacoms from the previous owner of the Marrone 308. sorry for the hijack.
