    I think your car might be older than mine.

    Even the door latch is different, is your car GT 50's


    I have a 62GTI 3500

    I removed part of the rubber and there is a aluminum lip.
    I do like the aluminum trim however that your car has.


    After calling MIE again, they did find the piece of rubber needed.
    As per the manual, numbered 44 & 46 and 17 & 19
    Both are calling for rubber.

    I don't believe your seal to be correct type, in addition it would not have been fastened with the fasteners exposed as shown, they should be under the lip of the seal, and not be shown. But I may be incorrect here.

    I believe the correct type is a smaller width, and is similar to the seal on the front or "outside". In fact, it may be the same.

    MIE gets many of the rubber seals from Cicognani. I agree, it is good quality.
