I am looking for a nice black or sterling gray car with bl, tan or cinamon interior and less than 45k with some high quality performance mods. Must have good service history and records. Anything that meets most of the criteria would be good to consider. PLease email with pics, options and history, thanks, John

The E39 M5 tan interior is known as caramel. It looks great and only comes in the "luxury" interior layout, not the sport interior. The black can come in either luxury or sport so it would help if you specified which. :) Luxury has the center seat inserts with the parallel lines instead of the sport flat look. It also has a leather dash and door panels completely covered in leather. Sport interior has the textured vinyl dash and upper door pieces.

    The long way home
Sport has different seats and aluminum trim vs. the wood found in the "luxury"...

You could get the sport interior with the wood trim. I know someone with a LeMans Blue M5 with the black and blue interior that has wood. It doesn't look right at all. :(

    Thanks guys.
Al, appreciate the interior lesson, actually very helpful as I am not that familiar with the choices. This car is actualy for my 20 something son. He has always wanted one and I am just trying to help locate a good car for him. Personally, have always appreciated the e39 cars and their sound, performance and practicality.

No problem. There are several wood finish choices as well if you're interested in that much detail. Let me know and I can post pics or whatever. :) Good luck with the search.
