The F1 transmission ECU # 246029 does not read the clutch position any more and the car will not start. I swapped it to my other 2008 US model 599 GTB and the problem transferred to the other car. I am looking for a new or used unit. Maybe someone can recommend a repair shop to get it fixed. Any help is appreciated! Image Unavailable, Please Login

Jurgen- Eric355 in France or Rod at FAI may be able to reflash your bad one with the info from your good one if it is a software problem and not a hardware problem. Otherwise ECU Doctors, but not always able to fix.
The problem was caused by a lightning strike on my property that fried a crazy amount of electronics including battery tenders for 3 cars. The other 2 cars are fine but they where directly connected to the batteries. The oem tender for the Ferrari must feed directly some parts of the harness and caused damage to components.
The power surge killed 3 C-tek chargers including the Ferrari branded one for the 599. I will add surge protection to all my chargers now.
Ok, so now you made me sit straight up and pay attention. I have lost two televisions,3 Ethernet switches, a gate opener control board , numerous led lights on the house and a variety of other electronics to a recent close lightning strike. Never ever ever thought it could damage the OTO electronics via the charger! I leave it on its umbilical cord all the time! I’m putting the CTek on a surge protection power strip tomorrow morning!
