Looking to get recommendations on who does custom dash mat for Ferrari F430. My leather is good and I would like it to remain that way so looking to add a dash mat (ideally in Alcantara and or Suede)

Can't comment on the dash mat, but I would highly recommend getting some ceramic tint on your windshield like 3M Crystalline.

piggyback on this thread a bit.... What causes the leather to pull? heat? UV? sitting?
And from a prevention standpoint, does it help to use a product to keep the dash moist?

Mine is in good shape and I'm hoping to be pro-active to keep it that way

Little bit of everything leading to the leather drying out faster. Key is to keep heat down and reduce UV. I believe most windshields have some sort of UV blocking properties already, but the Crystalline certainly helps even more and cuts down on cabin heat. A good old fashion sun shade helps as well when parked outside. I use this one which fits rather nicely and stores behind the seat easily: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002DZUADW/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

The front dash area is typically the least cared for since it's out of reach, often overlooked during cleaning, and always exposed when driving so it tends to shrink the most. Applying a leather moisturizer regularly will extend it's life and prevent shrinking. There is no clear regimen, but you can expect dryer/hotter climates should dictate more regular maintenance versus more humid/cooler weather. Using a dash cover will certainly help with UV damage, but it might make it easier to forget to treat the area.

I have the UV tint on my windshield and I also have one of these

Don't mess with cheap sunshields. The cheap ones very quickly bend and become a pain to use so you stop using them. I have been using these "hard-folding" type since Porsche OEM started carrying them and when I got the 430, one of the 1st things I did was research how to get something similar for the Ferrari. Pretty sure that covercraft makes the Porsche ones as they seem identical.

While waiting and searching for a better solution, I made a template of my dash with tin foil. Then i sourced a very nice red bath towel. I cut the towel to the shape of the dash's dimensions. Then had my tailor sew the cut seams with a nice hem. Then sewed on a nice Cavallino patch in the center. Works perfect and fits perfect. No the "fanciest" dash protector in the world, but people love it. I also use the factory steering wheel cover when i am parked in the sun. Total investment in the dash cover was less than 40 bucks.

You got a tailor to do this for less than 30 bucks? (assuming your towel cost $10)
