I'm taking an epic vacation this fall in my 360, and I've found service locations for my drive up from San Antonio, TX to Olympia, WA. I also have a place just south of Portland, so I'm now looking for places in and around Salem, Albany, Corvallis, Eugene, Roseburg, Grants Pass, Medford, and Ashland. Dealerships and independents are fine. I'll be doing US 101 from Tumwater, WA around the Olympic Peninsula and then south along the coast through Oregon. Here is a link to the original thread in Silver:

And here is the route through Oregon (Sorry that the 101 tags don't appear at this magnification):

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

In the Portland metro area you have Ron Tonkin and The Jag Shop.

Are you planing on doing multiple stops or powering through?

I have Tonkin on my list already, so I'm looking for shops further south. I work out to stay in shape for riding and driving, so I usually cover about 500 miles per day, depending on conditions and speed limits. Probably less on 101 since I'll be stopping for photo ops.

Back in my endurance motorcycling days I covered over 900 miles in a day a few times, but I'm too old and wise for that anymore. lol

You can do N Cali to S Wash in a day. And S Wash to Olympia in a day. Four days if you are doing the entire PCH 1 to 101 run. S Cali to Leggett to Eureka will be the curviest roads, while S Ore to Olympia will be long straights with several slow zone towns.

Also, if you find yourself south of SFC in Big Sur on PCH 1, and run across the local UPS truck, don't shrug them off as a lumbering slow turtle. This person was a rabbit that could drive and knew the road well. We both found ourselves battling a half wit in a Toyota pickup. Granted that day I was in a Miata, but they filled my rear view for miles as we went all out through the curves. It also helps when the local tells you when to slow down and when its safe to run. :)

Thanks, good to know, but I drive like an old lady when I'm out of state. Never got a speeding ticket in over 30K miles in Ferraris. :)

I have one place in Eugene now, but nothing between there and the California border:

I can testify that Eric Jones is a qualified Ferrari mechanic and a really good guy. I race Spec Miatas with him here in the PNW and he knows how to build and drive a car.

What dates (approx) do you plan on being in the WA area, specifically 101 north of Olympia? If timing is right maybe we can arrange a FChat lunch somewhere.

My cousin lives outside of SLC and she's only available the second week of October. Haven't seen her in over ten years, so...

Just being prepared, like a good Boy Scout. The car has been nearly perfect for almost two years and 5K miles. Engine, transmission, suspension and electricals have been restored.
