Looking for history on my 512m

I recently acquired an early build 512m (European) and was told that the car may have had an interesting start to life with the company before it was sold new. I have no way of verifying the story but would like to see what can be dug up regardless. I'm not necessarily looking for free information, but I think knowing whatever history that may be available would be interesting and warrant a fee for verifiable information.

Are there any known historians who cover this era but may not frequent this forum?
Any leads would be greatly appreciated.
