Originally an east coast (USA) car, it's now in northern California at Specialty Sales where it's been since last year...which makes me wonder why it hasn't sold yet. Any inside info on this car would be much appreciated.

Odd, it's still listed on their web site as available.

This is getting depressing...the 2nd Dino I've inquired about in the last week and both are now `taken'...;-(

But congrats to you...haven't seen that color on a real car, but I suspect it's gorgeous!

HEY! HMB - THAT'S MY BLUE DINO with the "idiotic" Ferrari PH sticker on the back covering up the holes where the NART badge goes (or doesn't go according to the purists here).

Synchro and I drove our Dino GTSs down to Monterey last year and spent the night in Half Moon Bay on the way down. My wife and I will be down in Monterey pretty much all of next week. You'll see the car with a period Washington plate on the back. We bought it as a driver - engine is strong, it drives and handles well, but it needs body work - which we'll do after putting on 20,000 miles or so. We'll be at Concorso Italiano, Chateau Julien for the FCA Pacific Region event, and at the auctions. There's a Dino GT and a GTS up for auction at RM. If you see us, don't be shy. We'll be happy to talk with you about your search. There'll be a bunch of Dino owners in Monterey next week - hope to see you and all of the other Dino owners and fans there too.

Oh, and BTW, I told Specialty Sales that they could keep my Dino up on their website for a while because, who knows, maybe I'll find another one that I'll decide to buy and then maybe sell our current one. Johnny Duenas at Specialty Sales in Benicia, CA is a great guy and trustworthy. Also, Tom Shaughnessy can help you find a Dino, as can Spencer Trenery at Fantasy Junction (they have a nice red GT there right now that I saw in the middle of its paint restoration). They were all very helpful in my search, and Tom was amazingly helpful in selling my GTS - he had a deal lined up in about 3 days from the time I mentioned to him that I was thinking about selling it. Also, Roy Cats at Cats Exotics was the perfect transaction facilitator who pretty much coordinated everything between Specialty Sales, Tom Shaughnessy, the buyer of my GTS, and me. The whole gang was great to deal with.

I may also be at Concorso Italiano next Fri. A friend is exhibiting his Ferrari 250GT Cal Spyder and asked me to ride down with him. If I go, I'll look for the blue Dino.

    Mark,

Congrats on both, I haven't been saying anything until you posted about your GTS. But I think you will have a blast with the GT. And by the way, I am glad to see another Dino owner that most would consider needing a haircut. ;)
