    I found a listing with no date for a car I restored many years age. The company is SHINODA CO LTD Toyko 1-9-9, Kaminoge,, Setagaya-ku, Tokyo, Japan Zip: 1580093

    The car is a 1964 Lotus Super Seven

    I have sent several email but have received no response.

    By chance does anyone in Japan know of this company or the car in question?

    Dave, I'll give it a try early next week (it is Sunday today). However, I do have a slight DOUBT as to the validity of this "ad". The reason is that the contact name you gave, Ms. Lu Qing, is not a Japanese name,...more like a Chinese or Southeast Asian. I have never seen any names like that working in any of the car dealers (brokers) here in Japan, anywhere, period. The address of Setagaya is an afluent bedtown, west of Tokyo.
    Are you sure that this is not a scam ?
    I shall give a call to find out for you in the next few days.

    Postscript, Dave. I checked their homepage and appears that the Lotus is still listed. The price stated is 4,380,000 JY, which is roughly US$ 48,600 @ 90JY/$ ex. rate. The homepage is www.goose-neck.com if you wish to check it yourself.

    Thanks for finding the web page with pics.

    It looks like it hasn't been driven at all since I sold it. I can't imagine what happened to the dash, it was crinkled painted, every other panel and the frame was powder coated, the body paint is Imron.

    I probably spent almost that much building it the first time, the leather is Connelly, the carpet is Wilton, not sure I want to spend it again.

    Basically at that price I have no interest so don't bother following it up but thanks again for what you have done.

    BTW, its not a Cosworth engine, it just has a Cosworth valve cover LOL
